释义	韦忠西晋平阳（治今山西临汾西南）人，字子节。少以孝闻，好学博通，家贫，不改其乐。裴、张华并辟不就。太守陈楚迫为功曹。会山羌破郡，俘陈楚，乃冒死求免之。羌以为义士，舍之，得负楚归。后仕汉刘聪为镇西大将军、平羌校尉，在与羌人作战时矢尽被杀。
