释义	秀水一作绣水。在今浙江嘉兴市北。源出南湖，北入运河。相传水浮五色，见者获庆。宋张尧同《嘉禾百咏·秀水》：“好景明于画，长浮五色波。”明宣德四年（1429）在今嘉兴市所置秀水县，即以此水为名。
