中书谒者令官名。西汉武帝置，选用明习法令故事，善为请奏的宦官充任。掌收纳尚书奏事，草拟并传达皇帝诏令。名义上隶属少府，实则直属皇帝。宣帝之后，典掌机密，权任尤重。成帝建始四年（前29）改称中谒者令，专掌宫廷事务，纳奏出令仍归尚书。
